Private John Walter Burton, Royal Welsh Fusilliers, son of Mary Ann Burton and late Francis Burton, 94 Winsover Road, Spalding; formerly Knight Street, Pinchbeck died in hospital at Bradford on Christmas Day from the effects of wounds receieved on July 31st. Deceased was 20 years of age and had been in khaki about 12 months He was an only son and before enlisting was employed at Mr Appleby.
